John Davis Marshall, the grandson of a former slave, was born and raised in Medon, (just outside of Jackson) Tennessee.  He is married to the former Priscilla Jackson of Blytheville, Arkansas. They have four children (Terrence, Marrkus, Jondreia and Johnathan) two daughters-in-law (Kristol & Erica) and four grandchildren (Kori, Brianna, Jorden, and Tyler).

 

­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­This visionary leader has served as minister for churches in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. He has provided a spiritual uplift for every place wherein he has served.

He is the present editor for KINGDOM GRACE-STEPS, a four-year thematic and systematic junior high school, high school, and adult Bible School Curriculum. He is the creator and original editor for Blueprints, a five-year through the New Testament Adult Bible School Curriculum. For the past twelve years, he has hosted Call & Ask, a national question and answer telecast. Presently, he is staff editor for Christian Echo and the Revivalist Magazine and serves on the Advisory Board of Freed-Hardeman University.

He received his Bachelor's degree from Freed-Hardeman University, and a Master's Degree in Counseling from the Theological University of America, and has done other graduate studies at University of Memphis and Southern Christian University.

He is a noted author. His powerfully penetrating messages radiate throughout the pages of ten (10) books [Resources page]. His research paper, " Single-mothering Stimulates A Positive Family Networking Within Black Families" was selected and presented at the Annual Graduate Research Symposium at Memphis State University.
